It’s been a dynamic and critical time for the rural and remote health sector over the past two years. People are now involved in implementing changes proposed in the Government’s three major health reviews and wondering what it all means for people in rural, regional and remote areas.
This will be the background for discussions on a wide range of issues at the 11th National Rural Health Conference. Everything from the social and economic determinants, chronic disease, and electronic health records, to the rural and remote health research agenda will be discussed at the Conference.

As ever, this biennial event will also be a wonderful opportunity for heart-to-heart encounters with your peers from other parts of the country. We would encourage you not only to come but to consider making a presentation - be it a paper, a workshop, a multimedia session or a poster.
We’ve kept prices low in order to encourage as much participation is possible – still less than $1,000 for full registration for three days. As well as presentations on current research and practice, you will find a mixture of other formal and informal events. There will be a major exhibition, arts and health activities, some social events and high-profile keynote speakers.
The organisers have listened to the views of delegates from previous conferences and retained those elements which have proved popular, while adding new features suggested in post-conference evaluations.
Contribute to the sector and revitalise yourself by coming to the 11th National Rural Health Conference.
We hope to see you in Perth at the Convention Centre, 13-16 March 2011.
